Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Muhammadu Buhari will tomorrow December 14, 2018 visit Akwa Ibom State.

The First Lady will be in the state to officially flag off the Future Assured Programme, one of her pet projects aimed at empowering Nigerians with basic entrepreneurship skills as well as giving starter packs to trained beneficiaries.

Briefing newsmen in Uyo this afternoon, the Senior Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Sen Dr. Ita Enang disclosed that over 10,000 Akwa Ibomites across party lines are to benefit from the empowerment.

The Programme is organized in conjunction with the National Directorate for Employment (NDE).

Responding to questions on whether the opportunity would still be opened to people who did not fill the form online earlier, Sen Enang said some of the areas that people did not indicate interest would still be up for grabs. He said that such areas would be filled tomorrow and urged citizens to take advantage of the opportunity.

The event is billed to take place at Obong Nsima Ekere Campaign ground along Edet Akpan Avenue by 10.00a.m.
